Baptist Health recognized among nation’s “Most Wired” list for use of information technology to improve patient care

Baptist Health of Northeast Florida named to elite list for successfully leveraging technology to improve lives in the region.

Jacksonville, Fla., October 25, 2022 – The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), has named Baptist Health to its Digital Health Most Wired Survey results for 2022.

Among the more than 38,000 organizations surveyed by CHIME, Baptist Health was ranked in the Digital Health Certified Acute and Certified Ambulatory categories and placed above peers in categories like analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure and patient engagement.

This is the first time Baptist Health of Northeast Florida has appeared on the Digital Health Most Wired Survey, which is designed to identify and recognize health care organizations that exemplify best practices through their adoption, implementation and use of information technology (IT) to elevate health care in their communities.

“Increasingly, the use of digital health technology has a significant impact on the quality of patient care and patient experience,” said Aaron Miri, MBA, FCHIME, FHIMSS, CHCIO, senior vice president and chief digital and information officer, Baptist Health. “We are leveraging digital solutions both behind the scenes, leveraging artificial intelligence to help us optimally use operating rooms, and in patient-facing opportunities using telemedicine to provide care where and when needed, or using electronic medical systems to detect complex medical conditions.”

He added, “CHIME’s recognition is testament to our team members’ determination and dedication to using digital health technology to provide the best care possible where, when and how patients want it. We are committed to investing in the right tools so our physicians and clinicians can provide the right care at the right place and time.”
